Personal Branding Workshops:

This two-part workshop is intended to help you define what you’re known for and what happens because of you.

Part I — Understand and Leverage the Impact of You in Job Search

Your personal brand and the impact you deliver are powerful messages to leverage in your job search materials and communications. Personal Branding Part One of two workshops will inspire and motivate you with valuable materials, tips, tools and best practice examples to help you navigate this unique process, elevate your job search, and accelerate the process to landing your dream role. You will begin the process to DEFINE your dream role, culture, environment, and industries and UNDERSTAND your brand and impact on people and business – and how to distinguish you from others.

Part II — Bring your Personal Brand & Impact to Life

Attendance in Personal Branding Part One is required before attending Part Two. This extends the learning from Part One with a focus on developing compelling brand messaging that extends to talking points, a listenable answer to “tell me about yourself” and interview questions, and integration into LinkedIn, Resume, Networking Profile, Cover Letter, Thank Yous and more.

Master Resume & Networking Profile Development

FACTS:

  • 75% of all resumes never make it past the Applicant Tracking Software (ATS)
  • The average time a human decision maker spends reading a resume is 6.2 seconds
  • If your resume and LinkedIn Profile job experience do not match, you can be red-flagged by recruiters as deceptive
  • Many ATS programs can NOT read a PDF resume while others prefer it.
  • AI (Artificial Intelligence) is playing a KEY role in resume vetting and interviewing – you must know how to leverage it

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • Best practice resume format required for ATS AND most preferred by recruiters – based on research
  • How to recognize a keyword and build it into the right sections of your resume
  • What causes a resume to get “knocked-out” of an ATS program
  • If a decision maker spends no more than 6.2 seconds on a resume, how do you catch their attention?
  • What you must NOT put on your resume and what is MOST important

Interviewing & Networking Best Practices: Managing the 3-Levels and Tough Questions

In this workshop we dive deep into must-know tips to master each of the three levels of the interviewing process and networking approaches. You will learn what recruiters, human resources and talent acquisition professionals, hiring managers and networkers consider to be crucial at each stage for successful results.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

You will learn how to prepare for behavioral, situational, conversational or performance-based interviewing and handle tough and tricky questions. Interviewers want to determine if you are a “good fit,” make a meaningful connection, and know the value you bring, but every stage of the process requires unique approaches. Networkers want to know what you are seeking – roles, industries, company types and sizes – and what you share at each of the three stages of networking helps or hinders the acceleration of your search progress.
